Is my child eligible for the Independent Study Program?

A student who wants to enroll may get an application from a Healdsburg High counselor or from the CIS Lead Teacher at (707) 431-3100. The application must be signed by the student's parents, counselor and an administrator. It is necessary for students residing outside of Healdsburg to file an application with the Center and to obtain an inter-district transfer permit prior to consideration for the program.

All students applying to the program will be interviewed by the lead teacher, and will complete an essay explaining why they want to enroll in the program. During the interview process, a determination will be made as to whether or not the program is a good fit for the academic and personal needs of the student.
